The Fainting Goat Island Inn in Nichols will be highlighted on an forthcoming episode of the new Journey Channel exhibit Hotel Paranormal. The display is narrated by Ghostbusters author and star Dan Aykroyd and tells the ghost tales related with hotels, inns, and hostels all-around the world.
In 2019, the Fainting Goat Island Inn was rated 2nd on United states of america Today’s Best Haunted Resorts listing. Homeowners Marnie Streit and Monthly bill Gamble bought the home on River Road in 2008 and labored to restore it. Initially constructed in the 1800s as a railway hotel, Streit and Gamble say the put will come with a whole lot of stories. Some of which are pretty peculiar.
When Fox 40 visited the historic railway hotel again in October 2019, Streit and Gamble regaled some of the additional unbelievable stories from attendees… and their individual ordeals.
The stories include things like transferring suitcases, kids laughing, a stained knife uncovered in the ceiling, and unexplainable footsteps.
There is a person home in individual where Streit suggests friends appear to be to depart with the most tales. Attendees who have stayed in the Alpine Area have reported some downright weird happenings. Streit claims some friends woke up to come across quarters put in a row at the foot of the mattress.

The Alpine Space is also exactly where Streit and Gamble discovered a knife in the ceiling and stained clothes beneath a floorboard.
Streit labels herself as a skeptic, saying she didn’t believe that half the opinions created in her visitor guides right up until she started experiencing it for herself.
