The White Dwelling declared Sunday night time that President Biden will travel to Warsaw, Poland, on Friday to meet up with Saturday with Polish President Andrzej Duda and focus on “the humanitarian and human rights disaster that Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked war on Ukraine has made.”
Poland is hosting hundreds of U.S. troops under the auspices of NATO, and has also taken in about 2 million Ukrainian refuges fleeing Russia’s invasion. Poland, which expended the Cold War guiding Soviet Russia’s “iron curtain,” joined NATO in 1999.
Biden will journey to Europe on Wednesday to fulfill with the leaders of NATO member nations Thursday on strengthening the alliance’s deterrence and defense in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He will also take part in a European Union summit to focus on the coordinated sanctions on Russia and humanitarian efforts for the displaced Ukrainians, White Property Push Secretary Jen Psaki mentioned final week. She explained on Sunday that Biden will not journey to Ukraine itself.
The White Household also declared Sunday that Biden will maintain a digital assembly on Monday with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Key Minister Mario Draghi, British Primary Minister Boris Johnson, and other European leaders.
