9-Calendar year-Aged Minnesota Boy Attacked By Shark on Holiday in Florida

The Weiskopf household, who are from Minnesota, had been vacationing in Miami Beach, Florida when their plans absolutely transformed. Their 9-yr-previous son, Jay, was attacked by what they estimate to be about a 4-foot extensive grey shark although he was out overall body surfing.

Which is when she seemed down and saw the roughly 4-foot gray shark swimming absent. So she scooped Jay up and ran him to shore.

WCCO experiences that Miami Seashore Fire Rescue was on the beach front to help. Jay was then taken to Jackson Memorial Medical center where by he had to have operation to close up the wound. Jay will be okay, the medical practitioners say “his prognosis is very good.” His parents stated that this harm could have an affect on his mobility extended-expression, however.

Of training course, Jay’s mother and father are really happy that very little worse transpired but they aren’t delighted that the beach front in which Jay was attacked is even now open up.
