Lake Erie’s Western Basin is a Mecca of fishing opportunities. Good catches of Walleye, yellow perch, small mouth bass, Large Mouth Bass and Panfish can be caught in the western basin of Lake Erie. The Western Basin of Lake Erie is the shallowest region of Lake Erie. The basin comprises the western third of Lake Erie. Western basin averages depths of 25ft. This part of the lake Erie is world famous for being the best walleye fishing grounds in the Us.
